  • Q What is an Operating Lease?

    It is a contract that allows for the use of a vehicle/s without the risks of ownership.

  • Q What's the difference between a fully maintained and a non-maintained operating lease?

    A non-maintained lease only contains the finance portion (the car), whilst the Fully Maintained lease contains the vehicle repayments along with all Operating costs (Tyres, Batteries, Glass, Service & Maintenance, Registration, CTP, Roadside Assistance, Fuel Card, Toll and Infringement Management. Insurance can be added in. Fuel & Toll costs and Infringements are the Lessee’s responsibilities. 

  • Q How do I know if a fully maintained operating lease is right for me?

    Would you like to receive one invoice a month for all your vehicle related costs, whether your company has one car or 100? Would you like to pay the same amount each month, regardless of whether your vehicle needsed Re-Registration, Tyres or Service? Would you like to use your capital elsewhere, treating vehicles as an expense rather than a depreciating asset? If you answer yes to one or all of the above, then an Operating Lease could be right for you!

    You should seek independent financial and tax advice. 
     

  • Q Will an operating lease create more paperwork for me?

    No, your Operating Lease application is similar to applying for a normal car loan, HOWEVER, this loan is a draw down facility ($150k), meaning you have no additional paperwork when you order an additional vehicle.

    On an Annual basis, if you include  Fuel Card management and Insurance in your Operating lease(s), regardless of the number of vehicles on your fleet you will only receive 12 invoices per annum. In contrast if you own the fleet, you would receive on a weekly or monthly basis fuel and toll invoices, and on an annual basis service and maintenance, registration & CTP, roadside assistance and insurance, and once every couple of years an invoice for tyres.

  • Q What are the benefits of MiDiamond Fleet Leasing?

    It minimises business administration costs, gives you certainty and consistency of vehicle operating costs with one monthly invoice without the risk of ownership. 

  • Q What costs are included in a fully maintained operating lease?

    All maintenance costs (both scheduled servicing and any unscheduled repairs), registration renewal, accident management, roadside assistance and replacement vehicles* in the event of a breakdown. Optional inclusions are tyre replacement, fuel card, toll management and comprehensive insurance. Fair wear and tear, and excess kilometre charges may apply. 

    *Access to a replacement vehicle is available only when your vehicle is in for repair longer than a 24 hour period.

  • Q What do I need to make an application?

  • Q What happens if I want to extend the term?

    Within the last 6 months of the lease, the customer may have the ability to extend their lease for a further 6 or 12 months, depending on the age and kilometres driven on the vehicle (can’t be more than 200,000 kms).

  • Q What happens if I need to return the vehicle early?

    If the customer wishes to return the vehicle before the end of the contracted lease term, an “Early Termination Quote” will be provided to the customer setting out the costs involved. If the customer wishes to request to purchase the vehicle as part of the early termination, the leasing company may advise the purchase price, which will be payable in addition to the Early Termination Quote.

  • Q What happens at the end of an operating lease?

    You return the vehicle to your local Dealer, they inspect the vehicle for damage and record the odometer. If the vehicle is damaged, and/ or has driven further than the lease terms permit you will receive an invoice for the unfair wear and tear and/or excess kilometres.

  • Q Where do I return my vehicle at the end of the lease term?

    To a Mitsubishi Motors Dealership.

  • Q Are there any add on services available with my operating lease?

    Yes! You can;

    Vary the amount of tyres allowed, we suggest one set for every 45,000kms travelled.

    Include a fuel card, with the fuel you use invoiced to you as additional item on your lease invoice, and

    Include fully comprehensive vehicle insurance, allowing the annual cost to be spread across twelve months.

  • Q Do you have a MiDiamond Fleet Leasing app?

    Unfortunately we don’t at the moment.

  • Q Which Mitsubishi vehicles can I lease?

    Any Mitsubishi models can be leased under the programme.

  • Q How do I book a service?

    Either directly with your local Mitsubishi Dealership or by calling the MiDiamond Fleet Leasing team who will book it on your behalf.

  • Q Who do I contact when my lease term is coming to an end?

    The MiDiamond Fleet Leasing team will contact you about six months before your lease ends to discuss your options.  

  • Q Is there a minimum number of vehicles to be eligible for a MiDiamond fleet lease?

    No, we have customers with one vehicle, and others with hundreds.

  • Q What is the standard length of time for an operating lease?

    Operating leases can be written from 24 to 60 months. You pick the term that suits your needs.

  • Q Can I purchase my Mitsubishi vehicles at the end of the lease term?

    If you would like to purchase the vehicle, speak to the MiDiamond Fleet Leasing team who will advise whether this can be arranged, and if so advise the purchase price. The vehicle will be purchased by your Dealer who can then sell it to you.

  • Q Can I customise my vehicles with accessories or add-ons?

    Yes, vehicle accessories, towbars, tints, trays, service bodies etc. can all be added into your lease. Additionally, if you need to sign-write the vehicle, that can be included, you just need to pay for its removal prior to returning the vehicle.

  • Q Who will own the vehicle at the end of the lease?

    The vehicle is owned and registered in the name of the lease company throughout the term of the lease.
